This event will aim to provide an introduction to a new collaborative series in which the intersections of queer/trans identity, and mental health will be explored. The series will feature bi-monthly discussion groups and documentary viewings on specific topics related to mental health and the LGBTQIA+ community. The introduction event is open to all self-identifying members of the LGBTQIA+ community, and will prioritize trans voices during the event. Gentle reminder to respect pronouns, and actively work to remove oppressive language within this space.

Students Against Stigma – Étudiants contre la stigmatisation and the SFUO Centre de la fierté – Pride Centre are excited to work together on this project, and are open to community suggestions on how to improve this event in it’s future instances.

Students Against Stigma – Étudiants contre la stigmatisation recognizes that this event is being held on unceded, unsurrendered Algonquin territory, and is taking active steps to decolonize the work we do and spaces we organize in.
