The Canadian Hard of Hearing Association (CHHA) will be holding in Ottawa its third annual CHHA Walk2Hear walkathon on Saturday, September 22 at Vincent Massey Park. As a new twist, this year’s walk will feature a family fun day. All registered walkers will enjoy a delicious BBQ as well as participate in fun activities the whole family can enjoy, and have a chance to win some great prizes including a weekend getaway for two. We are encouraging you to participate and raise awareness for this worthy cause benefitting hard of hearing people.

It is a non-profit, self-help, bilingual consumer organization run by and for persons who are hard of hearing. The philosophy of CHHA is to produce knowledgeable hard of hearing consumers who understand how to have their needs met. Its mission is to raise public awareness concerning issues that are important for persons who are hard of hearing, to promote their integration in Canadian society, to remove any barriers to their participation and to generally make every community in Canada a better place for persons who are hard of hearing.
