Join for the University of Victoria’s Society for Students with a Disability’s (SSD’s) first workshop on Disability Justice, happening Thursday, March 3rd, from 6:00-7:30pm PST.
Topics covered include the language around and about disability, concepts of disability, and what “Disability Justice” might look like in university and beyond.
Our host, Sophie, is a white, invisibly-disabled employee at the SSD who holds a BSc in Biopsychology and has experience advocating for students with disabilities at UVic. Since the pandemic, she has been a member of the #Access4All committee, an advocacy campaign under the SSD demanding hybrid in-person and online access to higher education.
